Doctoral Advanced Therapy Extern

Helping kids, teens, and their caregivers feel safe, heard, and understood.

The right support for your child can help them work towards achieving their potential.

Children and teens often struggle with navigating the complexities of childhood on their own. Perhaps your child is easily frustrated or upset, having difficulty connecting with peers, or having challenges meeting academic demands. Maybe you’re seeking out therapy because your child has a genetic or developmental disability such as Autism Spectrum Disorder that impacts their life, relationships, and education. You see the potential in your child, but they need more concrete skills to navigate social situations, new challenges at school, or better communicate with those around them.

I specialize in working with children and adolescents ages 3-20 seeking tools and support to navigate challenging emotions and experiences. My approach focuses on empowering your child by guiding them to create their own solutions to feel successful. We will work together to develop essential skills for improved communication and to help them regulate their emotions more effectively.

Our work together will be tailored to your child’s needs, age, and interests. I take great care to meet each client where they are, incorporating talk, play, and art to help them express and process their emotions and experiences. My breadth of training and experience with children allows me to utilize creative interventions to help each child feel safe and comfortable in therapy.

I also recognize how important it is that parents and caregivers feel equipped to support their children. I will collaborate with you to develop strategies that work best for your family.

I received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from University of Pennsylvania and am now pursuing my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology.

I’ve supported children and teens in a variety of settings, including those diagnosed with neurodevelopmental, mood, behavior, and learning-related disorders. This has included both individual and group therapy, along with collaboration with caregivers and multidisciplinary teams, such as clinical psychologists, teachers, paraprofessionals, speech pathologists, occupational therapists, and other medical professionals.

My therapeutic approach is solution-focused, culturally responsive, and trauma-informed.
