Offering unconditional support to children of all ages and their families.

I believe hardworking families and their children deserve support in both school and home life.

Children sometimes struggle to communicate what is troubling them. As a parent, you know they are not acting like themselves. You may be seeing grades slip or hearing from teachers that they are struggling with their peer relationships, but it is difficult to know how to help them when they aren’t willing or able to tell you what is going on.

As a psychologist with experience in both school and therapeutic settings, I am able to come alongside children, parents, and teachers to develop comprehensive solutions that help clients reach their fullest potential in every area of their lives. This includes IEP development and school advocacy, ensuring children receive the support that is right for them.

All of this work is client-led: I begin by getting to know your child, understanding what is troubling them, and helping them eliminate the barriers to their success. Whether struggling with depression, isolation or anxiety, life transitions, or learning or developmental disabilities, I can provide them space to share their experiences in a safe way and offer the guidance and support they need, in the way that they need it.

In addition to working one-on-one with children, I also partner with parents to better understand and communicate with their child, put into practice the skills learned in therapy, and feel more confident supporting them as they grow.

I obtained my doctorate degree from Loyola University in Chicago. During my training, I had the opportunity to work in a variety of settings from the city to northwest suburbs while serving diverse populations of children and families across school, hospital, and community mental health systems. Currently, I also practice in the schools as a bilingual school psychologist and have expertise in supporting both the mental health and academic needs of students, as well as supporting parents with their advocacy in Individual Education Plans (IEPs), along with other educational processes.

As an adjunct professor, I have taught future psychologists and led courses related to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques, evaluation practices, and family/school/community collaboration. My previous research has centered on responding to the social and emotional needs of middle school youth. I hold extensive crisis experience and training, and partnerships with families and community providers through wraparound approaches. I have also engaged in extensive training on culturally and linguistically responsive approaches, and it is an area that is foundational in my practice as a psychologist.
