Supporting healing with compassion, courage, and connection.
Creating a space where your story can be heard and you can step back into your life with intention.
You know life feels harder than it should. Maybe you lose your temper quickly, say things you regret, or shut down when emotions feel too big. You might replay arguments, avoid conflict, or notice the same painful patterns repeating - different people, same ending, and still no clear sense of what you truly want. Other times, it’s quieter. Perhaps memories surface when you least expect them, sleep is restless and you wake up exhausted. You want direction, but instead are left with questions like, “why did this happen to me” and “will things ever change?”
Trauma doesn’t look the same for everyone. It can shape how you see yourself, how you relate to others, and how safe you feel in your own body. I work with adults and teens of all genders who want to better understand these patterns and begin to heal. Together, we’ll create space for calm, clarity, and deeper connection.
My style is transparent, collaborative, and down-to-earth. I strive to create a space where therapy feels real and relational—not overly clinical or detached. You know yourself better than anyone, and I’m here to offer perspective and practical tools to help you understand what’s happening and move toward meaningful change. I’ll bring honesty, empathy, and even humor into the room—because healing can be tough, but it doesn’t have to be cold or heavy all the time. More than anything, I want you to feel safe, understood, and like I’m fully in your corner. I am certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and trained in ego state therapy which allows for us to do parts work when helpful.
I also have extensive experience working within the realms of social justice, immigration, and cross-cultural identity. My approach is grounded in understanding how systems, culture, and discrimination shape emotional wellbeing, and I strive to create a space that honors each client’s lived experience within those contexts.
I prioritize fostering a space where you feel comfortable and safe to be authentically you. This is your space—I invite you to take off your shoes, settle into the couch or sit on the floor - whatever helps you feel grounded and present. I believe therapy should feel like a partnership built on respect, curiosity, and commitment.
If you’re ready to release the weight of the past and start feeling more grounded, connected, and in charge of your own story, I’d be honored to work with you. You don’t have to figure it out alone.
I was raised by activists, which shaped my belief that healing is not just personal but also connected to the systems we live in. That perspective led me to study psychology and human rights at Southern Methodist University, and later earn a Master’s in International Disaster Psychology from the University of Denver, where I focused on cross-cultural trauma and public health. I went on to complete my Master’s and Doctorate (PsyD) in Clinical Psychology at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology.
My clinical training includes time working in community mental health settings, which gave me a deep understanding of how challenging the system can feel—and how important it is to have someone who can help you navigate it. As a result of these experiences, I show up in the therapy room: informed, practical, and fully committed to supporting you.
